Virtual IBANs for every customer, account and invoice.
A virtual IBAN is a unique account number that routes incoming bank transfers to your main account while identifying who paid. GetIbans issues them through API, so each customer, invoice or order gets its own IBAN and every payment reconciles itself.

Use cases
What you use Virtual IBANs for
Automatic reconciliation
Give every invoice its own IBAN. The payment identifies itself, so nobody matches references by hand.
Marketplaces and platforms
Give each seller or sub-merchant a dedicated account number and see exactly which funds belong to whom.
Collections and receivables
Collect from customers across Europe into a local-looking IBAN instead of a foreign account number.
Treasury visibility
Separate flows by product, region or counterparty without opening a new bank account for each.

FAQ
Questions
What is a virtual IBAN?
A virtual IBAN is an account number linked to a main account. Payments sent to it land in the main account but carry the virtual IBAN, so you know which customer, invoice or order they belong to.
How is a virtual IBAN different from a normal bank account?
It does not hold funds itself. It is a routing identifier on top of one account, which makes it fast to issue and cheap to run in large numbers.
Can I issue one IBAN per invoice?
Yes. Issue them through the API when you create an invoice. When money arrives on that IBAN, the invoice is marked as paid.
Which payment rails can send money to a virtual IBAN?
SEPA Credit Transfer and SEPA Instant for euro payments, and SWIFT for international payments, depending on the account setup agreed at onboarding.
